A hose end applicator will work fine when applying on lawns and gardens, shrubs and trees.
Composition and MODE of Action
Pest Control Outdoors is a composed of 85% modified Cedar Oil and 15% Ethyl Lactate.
Red Texas Cedar Oil is a natural essential oil that acts as a pheromone interruption agent. Ethyl Lactate, a corn oil by-product, is a bio solvent that will trigger erosion and dehydration of the insect’s exoskeleton including eggs and larvae.
Exposure to a water solution spiked with Cedar oil and Ethyl Lactate will destroy the egg and larvae stage and eliminating the next generation of insects.
The Cedar oil creates an aroma that interrupts the insect’s ability to survive in the treated atmosphere, creating a residual barrier of re-entry.
Safe, Effective and Economical
Outside Treatment Recommendations
For customers dealing with garden and yard pests, Pest Control Outdoors is a economical and effective breakthrough in natural pest control. It can be used to control numerous pests typically found in yards and gardens.
PCO in combination with large amounts of water sprayed from a hose end applicator will be instrumental in the demise of numerous non-beneficial insects including but not limited to fleas, ticks, mites, mosquitoes, scorpions, beetles, mole crickets, grubs, chinch bugs and many others. It has no effect on sight driven beneficial and pollinator insects such as butterflies or bee's. It will not hurt any of the amphibians or lizard family but will deter venomous snakes and rats from the treated areas.
Wash down the sides of the structure working from the building outward. The first application is the most important and the objective is to make sure a liberal soak is accomplished to all areas including but not limited to the gardens, flower beds, shrubbery, grass and concrete areas and any standing water.
Pour 4-8 ounces of the PCO concentrate into the cup of the hose end applicator provided with the product (cup has legend). Fill to the 26 Ounce line with tap water. Attach to the water hose, turn the lever to on and initiate spraying. Each cup of solution will dilute 20 gallons of water spray, when the cup is empty, refill the cup with another 4-8 ounces of Pest Control Outdoors. Repeat as often as necessary to complete the initial soaking. This treatment is very inexpensive and will resolve many other insect issues such as aphids and scale on plants, powdery mildew and all of the normal lawn fungal problems grassy areas experience.

Non-Residential Interior Structure Spraying/Fogging
Spraying or fogging with Pest Control Outdoors is an economical solution for warehouses, garages, barns, stables and greenhouses etc. When used inside roofed structures where the migration of aromas to atmosphere is contained, the effectiveness of the concentrate is enhanced. An insect free environment will be the result of the treatment. The aroma of cedar oil will leave a fresh smell that is pleasing to the inhabitants.
Using a hand held Atomizer (sprayer), preferably air compression in design, spray a mist of PCO on all horizontal and vertical surfaces. Disperse a fine mist of solution spray to each and every square inch of horizontal floor surfaces. Spray treat vertical surfaces at least 24 inches from the floor. Work backward from the farthest point of the room making sure a liberal amount of the solution is being applied to all areas. It is imperative that no area be left untreated. Spray the legs of all equipment or other vertical supports.
· For Spraying - Approximately 1 gallon of product will be required to conduct a satisfactory control or preventative maintenance treatment for 1000 square foot of interior surface area. Use 4-8 Ounces of concentrate per gallon of water. The use of warm water when mixing the product is a prudent formulation technique.
· For Fogging - Use a mixture of 4-8 ounces of product per gallon for fogging applications.
After interior spraying or fogging, keep structure closed for at least 2 hour after treatment to enable a pheromone interruption event to control insects. After 2 hours open doors and window and run air circulation unit to air out the structure, any overwhelming aromas will dissipate in a matter of 6 hours.
To best evacuate and repel Scorpions from an inside area, mix 8 ounces of Pest Control Outdoors concentrate in a 2 gallon pump up (compression) sprayer. Using the wand setting on a light mist, cover the total area requiring treatment. Be sure to treat equipment and other items inside the structure. Scorpions will continue to migrate to untreated areas.
Once repelled from the inside the structure, treat the outside area with a hose end sprayer. Mix approximately 8 ounces of concentrate with water in the applicator cup. Adjust to apply a discharge of 20 gallons of fluid. Spray down all side of structure, then spray from the foundation to fence line. Treatment aromas will provide a residual barrier of re-entry. Severe scorpion infestations may require a second treatment.
